Grand Theft Auto V was developed by Rockstar Games, who also created Red Dead Redemption 2. However, this is not where their similarities stop. GTA V takes place in the fictionalized version of Los Angeles called Los Santos City, with the player taking control of three different protagonists. You play gangster Franklin, drug dealer Trevor, and bank robber Michael as they try to pull different criminal jobs while avoiding the corrupt government and other big criminals in the state.

Melee combat or ranged weapons are the go-to combat mechanics in the game, while the HUD includes your health bar and wanted level. Be careful about committing crimes with witnesses as the higher your wanted stars are, the more law enforcement units will be chasing you.

GTA V received overwhelmingly positive reviews from all outlets, even getting multiple perfect ratings. It sold more than 11 million copies within the first 24 hours and has sold more than 145 million copies worldwide as of May 2021.

5. Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Kingdom Come: Deliverance was published by Deep Silver in 2018. This historical action RPG happens in the Kingdom of Bohemia, which the Holy Roman Empire controls. The game boasts a historically accurate world design.

Set in 1403, protagonist Henry survives a massacre of his village that was ordered by the Hungarian king. Henry eventually joins the rebel forces in order to exact revenge on the king, hoping to replace him with the rightful heir to the throne.
