Dave Chappelle Is the Latest Entertainer To Enter the Podcast Game
Comedian Dave Chappelle is launching his own podcast series later this year. The Midnight Miracle will feature Chappelle alongside co-hosts Talib Kweli and Yassin Bey (formerly Mos Def) as the trio chats about their lives.
Set to premiere on podcast network Luminary next month, the three hosts will share experiences from their successful careers, dive into their personal lives, and interview famous friends.
“Making a podcast isn’t the obvious next move for me, but it’s the right one,” Chappelle said in a press release. “The Midnight Miracle gives you a look into how me and my friends process the world around us, and I think it will change the way listeners think of what a podcast can be.”

Along with the conversations between the three hosts, the podcast will feature sketches, archival audio clips, and a soundtrack highlighting music by Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Thelonious Monk, D’Angelo, and other artists.
I’m honestly unsure of what to expect from this podcast, especially as Chappelle is joined by Kweli and Bey, both known for speaking their mind and causing controversy. Hopefully, it’s as funny as a Chappelle standup show with enough of a serious tone that leaves us, the listener, thinking about what we heard long after it’s finished.
The Midnight Miracle will be released in the coming weeks on Luminary.
