Lazy Oaf Summer 2013 Collection London-based Lazy Oaf have released their latest menswear collection for summer 2013. The label was founded in 2001 by designer Gemma Shiel, who started by selling a small batch of men’s screen-printed tees out of her dad’s garage and on a Spitalfields market stall. Twelve years on, the brand now has a flagship store just off London’s famous Carnaby Street and is stocked at over 250 stores worldwide. The label has since expanded from t-shirts into outerwear, knitwear, shoes and even stationary. Lazy Oaf have an instantly recognisable aesthetic, with ultra colourful and fun designs – often featuring cartoon artwork – referencing youth and street culture. Featuring a bold and bright primary colour palette, the high summer 2013 collection is their most vibrant to date. The label has experimented with print and panelling, with some pieces featuring contrast coloured sleeves and pockets. The t-shirts on offer include the ‘WORMZ’ design, a bold and colourful panelled construction. With a blue base, pastel pink crew neck collar, red sleeves and a monochrome worm print chest, it’s a piece designed to get you noticed. An equally colourful alternative is the ‘MORK’ tee, which features a postbox-red body, green chest pocket and one blue/one yellow sleeve. It may look a bit like what a kid’s television presenter would wear, but it is a fun piece with a retro 1980s vibe to it. The ‘HOT DAWG’ design is a collection highlight. The cotton button-down shirt features a comical animated hot dog repeat pattern on a white base. Paired with dark slim jeans or chinos it would make a playful statement this summer. T-shirts are priced at £38 and shirts at £60. You can shop the collection in store and online at lazyoaf.co.uk and ASOS. Available At Lazy Oaf Summer 2013 Collectionm Lookbook
