Salvatore Ferragamo Acqua Essenziale Blu EDT

Salvatore Ferragamo to Launch New Men’s Fragrance

Water is the inspiration behind the latest fragrance from Salvatore Ferragamo. The Italian brand has created Acqua Essenziale Blu, designed to take over from the last men’s scent rolled out by the brand in 2013. Building on the woody notes of the original Acqua Essenziale, Blu features top notes of green cardamom and Bergamot; heart notes of cascalone, cedarwood atlas, cypriol and lavander; finished with benzoin and ambrox for the base. A statement released by the firm describes the scent as “a fresh and intense perfume that celebrates the energy and the charismatic virility of the contemporary man”. Bosses called in Alberto Morillas to work on the new offering. The Spaniard is famous for producing Acqua di Parma’s Colonia Intensa, Calvin Klein’s CK One and Carolina Herrera’s 212 Men, as well as Acqua Essenziale Blu’s predecessor. The accompanying campaign is fronted by Garrett Neff, who recently appeared in H&M’s summer 2014 ads. In addition to fragrances the luxury goods company sells shoes, leather goods and ready-to-wear lines. The Acqua Essenziale Blu Eau de Toilette will launch in three sizes – 30ml (£34), 50ml (£44) and 100ml (£60) – on 1st June. Sources report it will also be available in a 200ml perfumed shower gel. Other Salvatore Ferragamo scents are currently sold at most department stores and fragrance stockists, as well as online at Ferragamo.com.
