The Ferrari Superfast 812 Is the Fastest Road Car Ever

After announcing its first-ever fully electric car is on the way, Ferrari keeps the good news coming for car enthusiasts. The Prancing Horse has revealed a new limited edition Ferrari Superfast 812 is set for release. Not only that but it’s also being touted as the fastest road car ever produced.

This special version of the Superfast 812 comes equipped with a 6.5-liter V12 engine, the brand’s most powerful V12 engine ever created. This updated engine increases its original 789 horsepower to a whopping 818 horsepower, making it one hell of a vehicle. Ferrari has also tweaked the valve timing mechanism, allowing the V12 engine to now redline at 9,500 rpm, 600 more rpm than the standard Superfast 812.

It’s not just the engine that’s been tinkered with. This premium version of the Superfast 812 comes with all-wheel steering, a brand new performance exhaust, and updated side-slip control technology.

Cosmetic changes include a carbon blade running across the bonnet, a revised aerodynamic body kit, and a larger integrated spoiler. The interior remains similar to the original model, with a racing feel influenced by the LaFerrari’s cockpit. The color scheme is grey with a yellow stripe down the middle of the car, although there are sure to be more options once the car is available.

More details about the Ferrari Superfast 812 limited edition will be revealed on May 5.
