Paul Walker's Custom BMW M1 Is Up for Auction
A custom made BMW M1 once owned by actor Paul Walker is up for auction. The sporty automobile is believed to be one of only 10 BMW M1’s modified by BMW dealer AHG.
After being imported to the US, the BMW was purchased by a Georgian car collector before being sold to a Texas motor enthusiast in 2011. It was then co-owned by Fast And Furious alumni Paul Walker and Roger Rodas’ AE Performance before being acquired by the current owner in 2014.
This classic supercar features a unique body kit with a custom BMW tricolor paint job, 16-inch three-piece BBS wheels, custom exhaust, and a ZF five-speed manual transaxle. The inside of this sporty coupe comes with leather interior and features all the standard amenities, including air conditioning, power seats, and the original sound system with a Blaupunkt cassette player.
Under the hood is the M1’s 3,453cc M88 inline-six engine that’s been fine-tuned by AHG. The upgraded means the coupe now cranks out 350 horsepower, a tasty 75 horsepower more than the stock variety of M1 engine.
The car does show some wear and tear, but with around 4,200 miles on the dash, it’s still a pretty sweet looking ride.
With the auction ending in nine days, the current highest bid is $390,000, although it’s expected to fetch much more.
