New Balance x Starcow M1500 Trainer

Parisian Partnership Part of Made in England Collection

American sportswear label New Balance has unveiled the result of giving creative licence to its M1500 trainer to Parisian retailer Starcow. The limited run release comprises two versions of the trainer, made from nubuck suede and mesh in contrasting grey and green colour ways. Each pair, priced at £145, is finished with bright embroidered branding and the model number in coordinating stitching. Images of the trainers, released as part of New Balance’s Made in England collection, have been shot inside its Cumbrian factory, which opened in 1982. The business now produces over 28,000 shoes per week in the UK, with 90 per cent sold to European markets. It follows another collaboration for the trainer firm, which recently worked with American brand J.Crew. The label has also teamed up with the likes of Herschel Supply Co and Crooked Tongues in the past. Paris-based store Starcow specialises in streetwear and stocks a number of US brands including Eastpak, Levi’s and Penfield. The New Balance x Starcow M1500 collection is set for launch on 18th October at select retailers including online at End Clothing, which has said it plans to make the trainers live at an unspecified time and sell on a first come, first served basis.
