Breitling Teams with Deus Ex Machina For Watch Collab

Luxury watchmaker Breitling has joined forces with Australian motorcycle and lifestyle brand Deus Ex Machina for a one-of-a-kind timepiece. The Top Time Deus is a retro-looking wristwatch inspired by Breitling’s original Top Time sports watch from the 1960s.

The new take on the famed Top Time features a 41mm stainless steel case, a silver dial with yellow and orange details, and a lightning bolt-shaped chronograph hand. The Deus logo is also proudly displayed on the watch face below Breitling’s own branding. The caseback displays the Deus motif “In benzin veritas,” along with an engraving of a motorcyclist in rally racer mode by Deus creative director Carby Tuckwell.

The Top Time Dues is powered by the Breitling Caliber 23, a COSC-certified chronometer, and comes with a brown racing-themed calfskin leather strap.

“Bikers, boarders, surfers, digital nomads … this is a timepiece for dynamic people of action, purpose, and style,” said Breitling CEO Georges Kern in a statement. “Our versatile Top Time Deus celebrates having the freedom to explore the world your way, at your pace.”

The collaboration between the two brands isn’t just limited to watches, with Breitling now the official timekeeper of the Deus Swank Rally, a longstanding race celebrating vintage bikes.

If you like the look of the Top Time Deus you better get in quick, with only 1,500 being manufactured for sale. Head to Breitling to cop one of these limited edition timepieces for $4,990.
