Save the Rhinos With Hublot's Big Bang Unico SORAI

Hublot is doing their bit for conservation with the release of the Big Bang Unico SORAI. This limited-edition timepiece not only looks fantastic, but proceeds from the watches sales will go towards Care for Wild, the world’s largest rhino orphanage and sanctuary.

Care for Wild isn’t doing things solo, with another foundation, Save Our Rhino Africa India (SORAI), also involved. The connection here is SORAI founder and former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen, who also happens to be an ambassador for Hublot.

“Every day is a battle, a race against time by the teams of dedicated specialists who rescue, rehabilitate, and release these rhinos back into the wild,” Pietersen explains. “We don’t want to lose one of the Big Five, not for us but for our children’s children. We, therefore, need to put our common efforts to protect this species! I am very happy that Hublot is once again able to provide its support to SORAI, to help raise maximum awareness of this global emergency.”

With fewer than 500 black rhinos in the world, both organizations are doing their bit to help repopulate this endangered species. Now you can help by splashing out on one of only 100 Hublot Big Bang Unico SORAI chronographs.

Following the beige 2019 edition, this latest release comes in two shades of green and features both rubber and fabric camouflage straps. The 45 mm matte ceramic case houses Hublot’s MHUB1242 Unico automatic 4Hz movement and has a column wheel and 72-hour power reserve. A neat addition is a black rhinoceros applique at 9 o’clock, while the sapphire crystal caseback sports the SORAI logo.

The Hublot Big Bang Unico SORAI is available exclusively online for $24,100 USD.
