5. Paint and Sip

This activity has become more and more popular, especially with the advent of the pandemic. The premise is simple: paint your date while knocking back a few glasses of wine. There is bound to be a paint and sip class in your local area, and if not, it is a date you can easily do from home. Just be sure not to get paint on the couch. 

6. Take a Walk

If you are short of cash, suggest a walk in the park or around your neighborhood. Take in your surroundings as you get to know each other. This one is good for your health and easy on the wallet. Maybe just splurge on a pre-walk coffee or grab an ice cream when finished, just to show you aren’t a complete cheapskate. 

7. Go Paddle Boating

This is a romantic date idea that enables you to take part in a fun activity while getting to know each other. Paddle around a lake and take it all in as you chat and laugh while getting to know each other better. Just be prepared to do most of the paddling if your date gets tired.

8. Play Mini Golf

Who doesn’t love mini golf? This is a super fun Spring date idea that gets you outside and hitting some balls around, albeit in a small space and not on the greens. It can be done day or night and gives you the chance to indulge in your competitive side with your partner. 

9. Go on a Weekend Getaway

Now, this is a date idea that only works if you have been seeing each other for a while, as I don’t suggest taking someone away on the first date. But now that the skies are clearing, organize to take your date away on a weekend getaway. Whether this involves a few nights in a luxury hotel, camping in the wild, or an Airbnb in a nearby city, it is a great way to hang out together and forget about everyday life for a while. 

10. Visit the Zoo

If she loves animals (and isn’t against them being held in captivity) then a day at the zoo is a great option. You can spend hours enjoying all the different animals on show, from the monkeys to the lions. Be sure to catch feeding time for some extra entertainment.
