Land Rover Unveils Fifth Generation Range Rover
Land Rover has re-defined what a luxury SUV is after revealing its fifth generation Range Rover. The sleek, round design is another step forward and sure to please longtime Range Rover lovers. There will be four different models (SE, Autobiography, First Edition, and SV) available, with the choice of a standard or long wheelbase, providing the capacity for four, five, or even seven seats in the cabin.
The 2022 Range Rover features an all-new base known as “MLA Flex.” Made from 80% aluminum and high and ultra high tensile steel, this new construction allows for the introduction of an electric motor, something Land Rover is keen on exploring with future models.

The modern design allows for a drag coefficient of just 0.30, making it the most aerodynamic SUV in the world. Inside it’s as luxurious as you would imagine, with opulent leather interiors, bespoke finishings, and a floating display taking center stage. Here you’ll find the infotainment system with a 13.1-inch curved display that showcases Land Rover’s new Pivi Pro operating system that incorporates Amazon Alexa voice control, Apple AirPlay, and the ability to stream Spotify.
Other highlights include a 1600w Meridian Signature Sound System with 20w (60mm) speakers in the headrests, active noise cancellation, a cabin air purification system, power-assisted doors, an auto-dimming interior rear mirror, and 20-way heated electric front seats with power recline heated rear seats
While we can’t comment on how it drives, the new features introduced look like making the experience an absolute pleasure. The Electronic Active Rear Locking Differential offers more traction and grip no matter the terrain while Torque Vectoring by Braking assists cornering. The Dynamic Response Pro is another nifty gadget that surveys the road ahead and prepares the car for any obstacles or changing conditions before you get to them.
