Ellesse Heritage Anzia Trainers

Sportswear Label Reworks Classic Silhouette

Italian sportswear label Ellesse has embraced one of its original footwear greats this season, reissuing its classic Anzia model for spring/summer 2015. The newly tweaked Heritage Anzia trainer retains its simple tennis shoe silhouette, along with its original branding and now retro-feel logo. A clean, minimal white leather upper adds a contemporary touch, while a new low-cut ankle ensures comfortable wear, on or off the court. Coming complete with two pairs of coordinating laces, the only real choice is whether to opt for the all-white or navy-blue lined pair. Although Ellesse has seemingly been lying low in recent years, the brand was extremely popular throughout the eighties and nineties, becoming a key player in the British Casuals subculture. However, its real heritage lies in skiing and tennis, both of which are combined to form the iconic Ellesse logo. Look out for the Ellesse Heritage Anzia trainers when they launch this month at Office, priced at £55.
