A. Sauvage SS15 – London Collections: Men

A. Sauvage Spring/Summer 2015

British designer Adrian Victor Sauvage joined Sibling, Craig Green and Katie Eary in showcasing at Victoria House this week. The runway show was held at the British Fashion Council space during the final day of London Collections: Men. The designer mixed his own Ghanaian heritage and British upbringing to produce a SS15 collection. The result used African colours and prints on pieces worn by the punks and mods of London in the 1960s and 1970s. The first model on the runway showcased one of the more casual looks of the season: a dark green leather bomber teamed with slim-fit trousers and a black and neon smiley t-shirt. Despite other less formal garments, Sauvage’s signature tailoring dominated the line, with slim-cut two-piece suits appearing in varying colours and prints. Korean face of Burberry, Sang Woo Kim, was seen in a deep orange two-button design, paired with a green jungle print collared shirt. Accessories included the Dictator lace-up leather boot and a selection of classic shaped eyewear. As part of a collaboration between the designer, Microsoft and Nokia, Sauvage also gave LC:M its first look at wearable tech with wireless phone-charging trousers. Priced at £200, they will be available to buy from late July, exclusively from Amazon. The full SS15 collection will drop at the designer’s London flagship store and online at asauvage.com from December.
