Ted Baker Audio Collection
Headphone And Speaker Range To Launch Next Month
Ted Baker is making its first move into the audio market with a range of two headphone models and a Bluetooth speaker. The collection will launch online via department store chain John Lewis as part of a limited time exclusive deal next month. Three products make up the British firm’s debut line. In-ear headphones, known as Dover, is the lowest priced product at £59.99. The model comes in four colours: silver/black, brass/black, gold/white, and gold/pink. Each is provided with three sets of silicone buds, a travel case, and also a three-button remote for use with Apple iOS devices. Slightly higher is the over-ear Rockalls, which retail for £179.99 and come in three colour combinations: tan/silver, black/silver, and white/gold. The foldable headphones are constructed from brushed steel, topped with leather. They also come with a travel case and fully removable cable. Completing the collection is the Fastnet Bluetooth speaker. Available in the same colours as the Dover headphones, it also uses the same retro styling and features a flip-over cover for protection when not in use. The speaker contains a single 5cm full-range driver, 3.5mm stereo line input, and a rechargeable six hour battery. An integrated microphone allows the Fastnet to also be used for hands-free phone calls. The price has been confirmed at £199.99. In the wake of the announcement, brand communication director, Craig Smith, said he hopes the launch of Ted Baker Audio will “continue to alter customer perceptions of our brand.” He went on to say the range has been “designed from the outside in and engineered from the inside out.” The full collection will be available to buy from John Lewis online from 10th June, after which they will go on general release. It has not yet been revealed how long the exclusivity will last.
