Supreme x Nike Air Foamposite One Trainers

Supreme Releases New Nike Designs

A trainer launch shut down by New York police in America went ahead as planned in the UK. Shoppers in London, as well as LA and Tokyo, were allowed to continue trying to get their hands on the latest collaboration from Supreme and Nike. The skate fashion label recently teamed up with the sports brand to launch a new version of the Nike Air Foamposite One. First released in 1997, the basketball trainer is said to have revolutionised the industry before influencing a wider style. Since the reveal just days ago the shoe has become known as one of the most difficult pieces to locate, a title snatched from Nike‘s other high profile release of 2014, the Yeezy II Red Octobers. The latest model combines the shoe’s iconic shell-like exterior with a limited edition gold print, characteristic of the Supreme brand. Part of a wider collection, the Foamposite trainers are joined by a matching basketball jersey and shorts, with all pieces available in either a red or black design. Supreme suffered a setback when the officials halted the release from the shelves of the New York flagship after riots in the run-up to the event. Yet that didn’t stop the firm’s online stock selling out within minutes of going live. Known for its limited edition collaborations, Supreme has also teamed up Playboy and Vans, and Comme des Garçons in other projects this year. On launch the Supreme x Nike designs retailed between £100 to £220. With no announcement made regarding stock updates, re-sale prices are expected to be much higher.
