Ned Flanders Gets His Own Sneaker Thanks to adidas
Hi-Diddily-Ho! Ned Flanders has his own sneaker. The iconic character from the long-running cartoon, The Simpsons, is being immortalized in shoe form. The “Left-Handers Rule” is inspired by the show’s most famous left-hander, who at one time during the shows run owned a store selling products for, you guessed it, left-handed people.
The Simpsons x adidas collaboration takes the classic McCarten shoe and adds a touch of Ned. First introduced in 2017 as part of the adidas Spezial collection, the McCarten is part sneaker, part loafer, and the ideal choice of show for the dithering Flanders.

The retro kicks feature a green side panel and pink sock liner referencing Flanders’ signature green sweater and pink shirt combo. The other prominent color is brown suede on the toebox, collar, tongue, heel, and ultra-thin mudguard, paying homage to Flanders’ brown hair and mustache.
There’s little branding from adidas, besides a small gold Trefoil logo adjacent to the laces and one on the inside leather sole. If that’s not enough, the shoes come packaged in a nifty Leftorium box featuring an image of Flanders holding a Left-Handers Rule sign and also include a leather hangtag.
