New 2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Super Car
The 2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4, think of it as a time machine or a jet because its 700 horsepower engine will rocket you into the future. With over fifty years of automotive craftsmanship building super cars, Lamborghini has infused new technology into this new exotic. From top to bottom the cockpit housing consist entirely of carbon fiber with a weight of only three hundred and twenty five pounds.
As a new introduction and a first in the automotive industry this feature helps retain Lamborghini’s drive to build top-notch cars. As well the entire chassis and body of this exotic are both made of carbon fiber to assist in its super quick acceleration from 0-60 in just 2.8 seconds. The molds used to build the inner most sections of this exotic vehicle can only be used five-hundred times, meaning with eight replacements, this car’s production is limited to use 4000 units.
Modeled after the two concept cars, the Reventon and Estoque, you’ll find most of the features and designs are incorporated into the new Aventador. While at the front you’ll notice its unique Y-styled bi-xenon headlights, giving it a touch no other Lamborghini has. The interior features an endless number of gauges, switches and buttons all incorporated in its proclaimed “Human-Machine Interface.
On the dash there’s an oversized LCD screen which replaces older format gauges, and another screen for navigation and audio controls. It’s all powered by a push-to-start button located just right under navigation, however you might consider it an eject seat button. When driving the Aventador you’ll notice an enormous amount of power from the all-new V12 engine with 700 horsepower at your feet.
This power plant is the first new engine since the Miura, and features aluminum-silicon alloy materials to help reduce the weight. On or off the track, you’ll love the phenomenal cornering stiffness thanks to the new strings and dampeners placed on the shell structure, an idea driven from Formula 1 race cars.
