Engraved 'Cinderella Man' Rolex Submariner on the Market
Russell Crowe is known for having a bit of a temper (remember that time he assaulted someone with a hotel phone?), but the New Zealand actor also has a soft side. This was evident during the filming of the 2005 boxing flick Cinderella Man. The notoriously grumpy Crowe gifted a cast member a 2004 Rolex Submariner ref. 16610.
This classic timepiece has a 40 mm stainless steel case with an oyster bracelet. A staple of Rolex’s extensive collection, the Submariner has automatic movement and comes with an understated black dial with a silver bezel.

What makes this watch so special is the engraving on the rear of the case. Crowe had “Cinderella Man 2004” etched into the top of the case and “Vincit Qui Se Vincit – RC” at the bottom. For those in need of a Latin lesson, the phrase translates to “he conquers who conquers himself.”
The watch comes in a full box with papers and is going for $22,350 USD via Fog City.
