David Hasselhoff is Selling His Iconic 'Knight Rider' Car
80s acting icon David Hasselhoff is selling his prized replica of K.I.T.T. (Knight Industries Two Thousand), the talking car from hit series Knight Rider. 35 years after the pair teamed up in the crime drama, the Hoff has decided it’s time to part with the famous Pontiac Firebird Trans Am.
This fully functioning K.I.T.T. replica has a dash that lights up like a Christmas tree and custom red lights hidden under the hood. It’s almost identical to the original, although it doesn’t include the heavy weaponry seen in the show. To be honest, it’s in pretty good nick both inside and out.
There isn’t a great deal of information about the car, but the listing does say if K.I.I.T. exceeds the asking price by 25%, the Hoff will personally deliver the car to the new owner. The downside is the car currently resides in the UK, but if winning the auction means you get a visit from Hasselhoff, it’s well worth a bid.
Estimated to fetch between $175,000 – $300,000, the current bid sits at $450,000 with 16 days to go before it ends.
If you’re not a Knight Rider fan, Hasselhoff is also auctioning a stack of props, merch and signed posters from his long career. He’s even selling an autographed copy of his album debut album Night Rocker, which hit the number one spot on the Austrian charts in 1985.
Head to Live Auctioneers to place a bid on K.I.I.T. and check out Hasselhoff’s other items up for grabs.
