Clothing Brand Shop To Open At Shoreditch Hotel

Opening Ceremony has announced plans to bring its long running partnership with Ace Hotels to the UK. The fashion retailer revealed it will open a pop-up shop in the Shoreditch branch of the chain as early as next month. OC at Ace Hotel London is expected to mirror the approach of the Midtown Broadway version. Pitched as a twist on the classic hotel gift shop, it stocks hand-picked travel essentials such as sweets, DVDs and books. In the American outlet toiletries are also provided by Kiehls and Tumi created an exclusive line of luggage to be sold. It has not yet been confirmed whether either brand is on board with the latest launch. The space, to be created by furniture designer Max Lamb, will house Opening Ceremony’s men’s and women’s collections, as well as its collaborations with the likes of René Magritte, Mickey Mouse and Vans. In an attempt to localise the store, it will also hold pieces from NewGen designer Marques Almeida. The clothing brand and creative hotel have worked together since 2010 when Opening Ceremony opened at the Ace Hotel in New York. Ace also operates in Portland, Palm Springs and Panama. The news comes as the New York-based fashion label shuts down its store in Covent Garden temporarily for restoration work. Opening Ceremony’s pop-up shop will be located at 106 Shoreditch High Street. Bookings to stay at the hotel can be made online at acehotel.com.
