Casual doesn’t mean sweatpants. Denim on denim can work well in this scenario – dark indigo jeans, a chestnut leather belt worn with a fitted and tucked long-sleeve chambray shirt, and clean adidas Stan Smith sneakers will elevate your casual office style to the next level. Not casual enough? Take the same sneakers, but instead pair them with black skinny jeans and a short-sleeve darker denim button up. Want to be even more casual? Wear your button up open over a t-shirt.

If you need to be dressed to the nines then there’s nothing wrong with rocking up to the office in a proper suit. We’re talking pants, crisp shirt, tie, blazer, and fancy shoes. Any color of suit works, but you can’t go past the classics, like black, blue, grey, and cream.

What makes an outfit hipster? It’s not one specific thing but rather a mixture of new and vintage while still showing off your personality. A cool vintage blazer mixed with your new tailored ankle pants and a turtleneck always looks casually hipster without trying too hard. I don’t make the rules, but a beard, mustache, and a hat (not of the baseball variety) also help.

Depending on where you live, jumper season is either upon you or quickly on its way. Pumpkin spice everything! Wearing a thin jumper over a collared shirt with your favorite fitted dress pants and Oxfords is always the right decision. Adding a wool peacoat for chillier days just ups the ante of you looking as if you know what you’re doing, both stylistically and in business. Looking the part is half the battle.
