Colored khaki or black trousers worn with a complimentary colored button up or jumper will always look pulled together if you tuck in your shirt and match your shoes and belt. It really is that simple. Rolling up your sleeves to the mid-part of your lower arm gives this look a slightly more casual feel as you’re hanging out at the office watercooler discussing the latest episode of whatever it is people are watching this week. Rolling your sleeves down and throwing on a blazer for that important afternoon meeting with clients makes this office look the most adaptable.

Keep this look from being too casual by pairing your short sleeve polo or button up with fitted trousers and bespoke patina leather loafers. However, if casual is what you are looking for then a printed shirt, untucked, with chambray or white denim jeans and a classic white sneaker is the way to go.

Personally, this is my favorite style. A fitted, well-made suit with a skinny tie and sneakers is never the wrong idea. Ankle pants are ideal for a sneaker situation, but if your pants are a little on the long side, rolling them 2-3 times is on-trend. Just don’t let your socks show. If you want to add to the casual factor, lose the button up shirt and tie, and instead, throw on a matching neutral t-shirt, tucked in, with a belt.
