NAHB International Builders' Show Highlights – 2019 IBS and KBIS – Part One
From interior flooring to exterior cladding and beyond, IBS (or International Builders’ Show) 2019 featured over 600,000 square feet of every building material imaginable.
Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to tour a lot of different conventions, yet, this time I wanted to try something different…
So, I cruised through the aisles at IBS 2019, toured both the New American Home and Remodel, found a handful of innovative building products, and met a lot of great people along the way.
With over 100,000 builders, designers, manufacturers, etc. in attendance, the show was packed (Includes the KBIS show too). For a better idea of just how many people go to this convention in Las Vegas, it’s roughly double that of SHOT Show. Luckily, most booths were massive thanks to most building materials being massive to begin with, which helped to spread out the crowds.
But enough chitter chatter, let’s get down to the best parts of the show. Below, you’ll find some of my favorite finds from IBS 2019, alongside certain building materials, tools, and so on that I found to either be interesting, innovative, or exceptionally effective.
From Rockwool insulation, to Acoustiblok, Tyvek, Carlon, Delta, FiberOn, and beyond, there’s a good mix of building materials from both the well-known and lesser-known brands to look over.
Of course, you’ll also find coverage of the 2019 KBIS (Kitchen And Bath Industry Show) as well. So expect to see lots of faucets, marble slabs, appliances, and beyond making their way into my coverage of the shows.
