Kanye West's 'DONDA' Bulletproof Vest Sells for $20K
Kanye West is the human headline who just keeps on giving. The rapper and producer is currently putting the final touches on his much anticipated DONDA album. While most would do this in the comfort of a studio, West has been working on his tenth album at Atlanta’s Mercedes Benz Stadium.
He’s also performed two listening parties at the stadium and has a third scheduled for this Friday in his hometown of Chicago. Like everything Kanye, the event is looking like another over-the-top spectacle, with West building a replica of his childhood home at Chicago’s Soldier Field stadium.
During this time West has often been spotted wearing all black clothing, including a black balaclava and most famously, a black bulletproof vest. The vest in question, worn by Yeezy during his August 5 performance at the Mercedes Benz Stadium, has somehow ended up online and sold for a whopping $20,000.

Consignment shop and retailer JUSTIN REED managed to acquire the one-off item that quickly sold for an impressive amount. The bulletproof vest features “DONDA” hand-painted by West on the front and the back along with the initials”MBD” – My Body Different.
This isn’t the first time JUSTIN REED has managed to secure a Kanye exclusive, with the website selling Kanye’s famous Goyward backpack that he purchased at the 2010 Paris Fashion Week for $55,000 early this year.
Kanye West’s DONDA Chicago listening party is set to take place at Soldier Field stadium this Thursday, August 26, with the album to drop on streaming platforms the following day.
