Filippa K Menswear: AW14 Collection
Brand Stays True To Minimal Ethos
Scandinavian fashion brand Filippa K’s new autumn/winter 2014 menswear collection continues to stay true to its founding principles of functional minimalism. Smart urban tailoring in a tonal grey and black palette takes centre stage within the accompanying lookbook, which showcases a wealth of timeless cold-weather ensembles. Classic tailoring details are put on the outside of garments, with inside constructions shown as seam details on jackets and stitching used to create stripe patterns on shirts. Subtle tonal patterns and checks in grey/brown or navy/black add an eclectic touch to the otherwise minimal aesthetic. Materials range from classic fine wool flannels and tactile light tweeds to ultramodern recycled polyester mixed with black leather details. The only shot of colour prominent within the line comes in the form of a deep ochre yellow jumper, worn underneath a dark navy suit for a considered contrast. The Filippa K AW14 collection is available now online, as well as at stockists including Fenwicks, Zalando and Menlook. Prices range from £47 for t-shirts, up to £622 for outerwear.
