Jacob & Co.'s New Minute Repeater in Sapphire Crystal Case Marks Major First
Jacob & Co. has achieved a new milestone in its recent unveiling of a three-part collection of minute repeaters in sapphire crystal cases. Part of the Twin Turbo Furious collection, the three variations break the mold with a transparent sapphire crystal case and decimal minute repeater.
In line with luxury and rarity, only six pieces exist for each of the three colors; red, blue, and green. Bugatti fans will be especially smitten with the “Bugatti Blue” design and logo, included to highlight Jacob & Co.’s collaboration with the car manufacturer.
The casing is crystal clear, giving both class and an edge to the sporty pieces. For those who are into watches with an admiration for the technical side of things, the view of mechanisms is up close and personal. There’s a lot to see under the hood.
The colored rings are made of Neoralithe, a Swiss-developed material made from resin. All three colors are resistant to UV light, temperature, and shock, so there’s less worry about fading or problems down the line.
All of the models have bands that match their RGB color selections as well as an 18k gold deployment buckle.

The dark gray sapphire crystal dial provides the perfect backdrop for the show where 832 components power the watch. Two-tone skeletonized hands appear, run by gears that connect to the twin triple-axis tourbillon.
The JCFM05’s manual winding movement offers 50 hours of power. Onlookers can also scope out the two high-speed tourbillons, a mono-pusher chronograph, and the decimal minute repeater. The crank sits at 3 o’clock, made of 18k white gold.
All things considered, the combination of these attributes is what puts the watch in a lane of its own.
It’s no surprise that Jacob & Co. would strive to undertake such work, especially considering Jacob Arabo’s personal commitment to going above and beyond what’s known and expected in the industry.
