This Hackett And Williams Racing Suit Puts Fast Fashion To Shame

To mark its status as the official clothing supplier to F1 team Williams Racing, Hackett has created what it deems to be the ultimate performance suit, designed to keep you looking well-pressed even when you’re battling extreme G-force around a racetrack. To show off the full abilities of the Hackett Williams Racing suit, the pair tapped longboard downhill pro Liam Morgan. Skating on the famous Paul Ricard race track, Morgan’s tailoring stays pinsharp even when the speedometer clocks him at a shirt-ruffling 70mph. Only 114 suits are being produced, to mark Williams Racing’s record of 114 Grand Prix victories since the team’s Formula One debut in 1978. Which makes them the ultimate collector’s item for the guy whose wardrobe is more about peak lapels than loopback sweats. Constructed from ultra-lightweight wool, the suit is water-resistant and breathable, while the natural stretch fabric means you’re not restricted – even when flung around a car’s cockpit. No two suits are exactly the same, though, since each features a technical drawing of the Williams racing car in its lining, and a bespoke label marking the country and year of a particular Williams Grand Prix win. The limited edition Hackett Williams Racing suit will be available from 6 April 2016 in selected global Hackett stores and online at hackett.com, priced £700.
