Michael Clifford’s 4 Tattoos & Their Meanings
Michael Gordon Clifford is an Australian Singer, Songwriter, and the lead guitarist of the boy band, 5 Seconds of Summer. Michael has many interesting tattoos on his body, Let us take a look at them and the meanings they hold.
1. ‘Tribal Rings and Symbol’ Tattoos
Tattoo: This is the latest of Michael’s tattoos. His right arm, above his elbow and a little below his elbow is covered in tribal tattoos around his arm. In between the two tribal designs is a tattoo of a strange symbol.
Meaning: The symbol is actually the sign of the game, Final Fantasy 10. Clifford got the tattoo because it reminds him of his home. His skills as a guitarist were actually discovered after his parents bought him the game, Guitar Hero.
2. ‘X’ Tattoo
Tattoo: The right middle finger of the guitarist contains a tattoo of the letter X tattooed on it.
Meaning: This is another reference to the game, Final Fantasy 10. Michael got the X representing the 10th game in the series which is also his favorite.
3. ‘Anchor’ Tattoo
Tattoo: Michael’s left thumb contains a tattoo of an anchor on it.
Meaning: The guitarist told that he got this tattoo helps him stay humble and grounded at a time when his life was really turning.
4. Quote Tattoo
Tattoo: This is the first tattoo which Michael got when he was just 16 years old. His left bicep contains the words, “To The Moon” tattooed on it in cursive.
Meaning: The tattoo was paid for by the former One Direction star, Liam Payne. This is the tattoo which got Clifford interested in tattoos and so he decided to get more.
