Gabicci Vintage SS14

Exclusive Previously Unseen Images

Gabicci has opted to release previously unseen images of its SS14 Vintage line, exclusively through FashionBeans. The music-inspred menswear brand, popular with the likes of Disclosure, Labrinth and Maverick Sabre, merges the styles of numerous sub-cultures through pieces such as button down shirts, knitted cardigans and suede harrington jackets. Mods, rude boys, suede heads, rastas, northern soul and acid jazz boys all provide inspiration for designers at the British label. Like the mainline lookbook, curated by ex-FHM fashion director Rich Evans, the SS14 Vintage images feature Lambrettas and Vespa scooters as a reference to the Italian inspired styling. Founders Jack Sofier and Alex Pyser started Gabicci after visiting the town of Gabicce Mare in the north of the Mediterranean country. Last year the brand celebrated its 40th year in business by partnering DJ Norman Jay MBE to rework styles from Gabicci’s archive. Other collaborations have included a mini coat collection with Gloverall. Bosses have also hinted at upcoming projects, saying the brand will “experiment and collaborate where we can,” though no official announcement has been made. The SS14 line from Gabicci Vintage is available to buy now from stockists including Stuarts London, Modfather Clothing and Utter Nutter. Prices range between £45-£150.
