My Outfits: Fresh Casual
When it comes to dressing well, less is usually more. You want to keep things simple, and nothing is more basic than jeans, sneakers and a button up shirt.
If I’m wearing a light colored shirt, like The Aziz (one of three TMM Button Up Shirts), I’ll pair it with lighter wash jeans.
They’re definitely more casual than dark wash jeans, but this helps reduces that kind of stark contrast that cuts you in half horizontally.

If it’s cool outside, you can throw on a lightweight jacket like this nylon windbreaker from J. Crew:
You can even layer up with a light vest for added warmth.

I’m wearing some classic sneakers – the Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66 – but you could wear any sneakers you like. When in doubt, go with plain white leather or canvas.
I prefer a white shirt with some interest and texture, rather than the ubiquitous plain white OCBD.
This one is made from heathered cotton twill, which has a brushed look that’s super comfortable against your skin.
This getup is perfect for most weekend activities – road trips, concerts, casual dinners, dive bars, movie nights…you get the point.
What’s your go-to casual getup? Would you change anything about this outfit?
