Fear Of God Menswear: Third Collection
LA Label Shows Off Grunge Icon Collection
Fear of God, the LA-based clothing label worn by the likes of Kanye West and Big Sean, has revealed its latest collection. Drawing inspiration from grunge culture and icons of the late eighties and early nineties, the range, literally titled Third Collection, features loose-fitting styles alongside a mix of prints and washed out colour ways. Looks contain longline t-shirts in plain colours and striped patterns, layered under clashing checked shirts, neutral sportswear tops and oversized outerwear. Denim in black is also carried in addition to raw-edge jersey shorts. Using the same two models as in previous campaigns, the brand’s latest images capture the collection in run-down street scenes, with classic cars mirroring the nostalgic theme. Fear of God founder Jerry Lorenzo references John Bender from The Breakfast Club as an inspiration for the season, as well as Kurt Cobain and Eddie Murphy’s Axel Foley character. The label is known for not releasing collections within traditional fashion seasons, instead dropping them when they are “ready”. Fear of God’s Third Collection is available to shop now via the brand’s webstore, with shipping set to begin on 28th November. Prices range from £92 for t-shirts to £1,045 outerwear.
