Oriental Knot
- To start tying a tie, wrap the collar with the tie so that its seam is oriented toward you and the narrow end is on the right side. The thick end should exceed the position you want your tie to finish by 2-3 in.
- Place the thick end under the narrow one at a right angle.
- Fold the thick end and place it over the narrow end.
- Pull the thick end through the loop around the collar upward.
- Pull the thick end through the loop around the narrow end.
- With one hand, pull on the underlying end while using the other hand to hold the knot.
Half Windsor Knot
