Many watchmakers are influenced by the auto world, but Breitling is one of the first to take inspiration from America’s muscle car history. Breitling’s Top Time Classic Cars Capsule Collection finds the luxury Swiss brand focusing on three American classics from the 60s; the Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray, Shelby Cobra, and Ford Mustang.

Each of the three vehicles had an incredible impact not only on the American motor industry but the world as a whole. Breitling has decided to recognize the influence of each car with this new capsule release.

This latest collection follows on from Breitling’s collaboration with Deus Ex for the Top Time Deus released earlier this year. Each watch not only features a different colorway but carries both the Breitling name and the logo of each car, with the Mustang’s galloping horse, Corvette flags, and Cobra snake appearing on each dial.

The Top Time Chevrolet Corvette pays homage to the original C2 Stingray and comes with a red dial and black band while the Top Time Ford Mustang is modeled after the original 1964 Mustang with a green dial and brown band. Both watches house the Breitling Caliber 25 movement inside a 42 mm case with three subdials, a 42-hour power reserve, and logos at the 12 o’clock position.

The Top Time Shelby Cobra is another beast altogether. Based on the classic Shelby of 1962, this blue dialed beauty features the Breitling Caliber 41 movement, a 40 mm case, two subdials, and the famous Cobra logo at 6 o’clock.
