The 15 Best Bars in London To Visit in 2022

Besides its taste for classics, this bar is timeless itself. The American Bar first opened in 1893 and is one of the oldest cocktail bars in Britain, so it’s basically a museum for cocktails with a display that you can touch.

Step into another world with a drink created from the 1920’s pre-prohibition era. Red carpets fill the room and gold chandeliers hang from the ceiling. The Connaught Bar features three menus; their signature menu full of classics, a Formae menu which is known for its multi-dimensional cocktails, and a menu called “Of the Moment” which is full of limited specialties – a must-try before they disappear again. If this isn’t exciting already, The Connaught Bar also offers an in-house distilled gin, which just came out this year and you can be one of the first to drink.

Opium is a Shanghai-themed cocktail bar and dim sum parlor with a 1920s atmosphere. The venue is split across two floors with three Oriental-themed bars, so you get a bunch of bars within a bar. The Opium starts with their Academy Bar located on the top floor and is split into two sections. Once you enter the Academy Bar, you can sit down and eat at their dim sum section.

Go a little further and you’ll find yourself in The Attic. This is where they have a comfy vibe featuring coffee tables, sofa seating, and little booths. Ready for a little more? Walk further into The Opium and you will find their signature bar table, which is as long as the eye can see. Here you can sit around their large stretch bar and watch bartenders perform.
