Alexander Wang To Open London Flagship Store

New Retail Outlet To Open In 2015

American label Alexander Wang has announced plans to open its first European flagship store in Mayfair, London. Set to open next year, the store will span 6,500 square feet, according to a report on central London retail by estate agents Knight Frank. Specific details on the in store design, concept and stocked lines are yet to be revealed, along with a confirmed opening date. Wang’s store will join a host of designer names in its new West London location, with Paul Smith, Amanda Wakeley and Buccellati already occupying units on the street. The announcement of the brand’s expansion follows on from its recent collaboration with high street retailer H&M, which launched earlier this month. Looking to sportswear for inspiration, the minimal men’s and women’s clothing line launched with an advertising campaign featuring models Joan Smalls, Natasha Poly and Raquel Zimmermann, along with footballer Andy Carroll and kick boxer Rivaldino dos Santos. In addition to working with H&M, label founder Alexander Wang holds the position of Creative Director at French fashion house Balenciaga, replacing Nicholas Ghesqui&eagrave;re in 2012 following his 15 years at the helm. With 18 stores worldwide and an e-commerce site that ships to over 50 countries, Wang’s London store joins a growing network of retail locations. The Alexander Wang London store will open in 2015 at 43/44 Albemarle Street, Mayfair, London, W1S 4DS.
