Moncler Release Striking Sustainable Jacket Capsule
Named the industry leader for sustainability within the fashion and luxury sector in 2019, Italian apparel giants Moncler continue their foray into sustainable fashion with a new clothing capsule. Part of the company’s “Born to Protect” range of sustainable clothing, this collection contains puffer jackets for men, women, and children.
The striking jackets are made from a range of sustainable materials, including regenerated nylon known as Econyl. The use of these recycled materials cuts production-related carbon emissions down by around 40%, which is quite impressive.
The only part of the jacket that’s not made from sustainable materials is the down filling, but even that’s still environmentally friendly. The goose feathers used have been traced by an outside agency and are 100% DIST (Down Integrity System and Traceability) certified, meaning they have been sourced and used in an ethical manner.
It’s not just the clothing that’s sustainable, with the packaging made from ethically sourced paper and shopping bags and gift boxes created using recycled paper.
Each jacket comes in the color black and includes the “Born to Protect” insignia on the exterior and interior. For men, there are three styles to choose from: a full-length parka ideal for winter days, a hip-length jacket great for any occasion, and one with a removable hood and sleeves for those who like a vest. There are also three different versions for women and children.
