Scare-friendly streaming service Shudder has released the trailer for V/H/S/94 in the lead-up to the Halloween season, with the film set to drop on October 6.

The latest in the popular V/H/S franchise, V/H/S/94 is set to reboot the anthology series popular with fans for its found footage premise and serious horror.

Previous films in the series collected unrelated horror stories under the premise of being footage found on VHS tapes. The new film will tie segments into a more cohesive central narrative. Check out the official synopsis below: 

After the discovery of a mysterious VHS tape, a brutish police swat team launches a high-intensity raid on a remote warehouse, only to discover a sinister cult compound whose collection of pre-recorded material uncovers a nightmarish conspiracy.

V/H/S/94 features four shorter film segments, each with a different director. Simon Barrett (Séance), Timo Tjahjanto (May the Devil Take You Too), Ryan Prows (Lowlife), and Chloe Okuno (Slut) have each directed one of the short film segments, with Jennifer Reeder (Knives & Skin) responsible for the wraparound story. 

V/H/S/94 will premier on Shudder on October 6.
