That Cambodia/Laos/Vietnam trip was one of the most memorable experiences of my life, and I’m reminded of it every time I see this little wooden elephant.

Plus, elephants are amazing creatures. They’re huge and powerful. They have incredible memories, and they’re highly emotional, just like humans. They play, laugh, hug each other and even mourn their dead.

How awesome is that?!

Some of our trinkets are gifts, like the porcelain deer head with the dried lavender antlers (from my girlfriend’s sister).

But it’s all special in some way!

We’re really happy with our new bedroom. The mattress and bedding is soft, supportive and comfortable, and the room is warm and inviting.

I’m glad we finally took the plunge and brought our bedroom “up to par” with the rest of the house.

And I’m glad that there are companies like Leesa and Brooklinen that make this process so much easier and more fun than it used to be.
