The World Beer Awards Crowns Its 2022 Champions
There’s more beer out there than Budweiser or Coors Light. While these two brews are big sellers in the good old US of A, beer aficionados know that the selection of beers now available is bigger and better than ever. From Belgium white beer to Indian pale ales and everything in between, there’s an awesome selection of amber brews on the market, with the World Beer Awards crowning the best of the best for 2021.
This year was once again dominated by German and Belgium froths, with the two countries taking the top spot in four of the 10 categories. Some of the most notable winners include Germany’s Karlsberg Kellerbier taking out Best Lager, France’s Anosteke Blonde awarded the Best Pale Ale, and Serbia’s Salto Stout crowned the World’s Best Stout.
America managed to win two big awards, with Taxman Brewing Company’s Qualified awarded Best Dark Beer and Whalers Brewing Company’s Wanderer presented with the gong for the Best IPA.
