Settled in Atlanta, Thunderbolt Tattoo & Piercing has been presenting tattoo services since 2012. Actually, the shop is painted with Japanese-inspired tattoos and Japanese-style tattoo masterpieces. Joe Vegas, the owner, exhibits unique designs for his clients managing over 30 years of experience. As a consequence of his boundless journeys in Japan, he procured skills from the country’s master tattoo artists and artisans. When he operates with a client, Joe usually does it with an insight of leisure.

One of Joe’s talents is creating tattoos that look clean, sharp, and stunning when they emerge with the wearer’s body. He attributes his distinguishing sense of design to his comprehensive travels and lengthened stays in Japan, where he could observe and assimilate the talents of Japan’s master painters and tattoo artists. As part of Joe’s engagement in enhancing his drawing abilities, he read at the Art-Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Tattoo work by Vegas is regulated primarily by Bob Roberts (whom Joe apprenticed under in 1984), Ed Hardy, Zeke Owen, and Horiyoshi 3. “Not only have their creative talents influenced my work, but I’m also very fortunate to be friends with these Masters of Tattooing as well”.
