Reiss Launches Premium Menswear Collection

It often takes a while for what’s proved successful in womenswear to transition across to us chaps. So, unlike menswear-focussed fashion weeks, which have only started popping up now after the success of London Collections: Men, think yourself lucky that you didn’t have to wait three decades for Reiss‘ superb Premium line – which proved so successful with the fairer sex – to cross into the gents’ side of the shop. The blueprint honed in womenswear remains: trending pieces crafted from luxury fabrics, but designed with that Reiss knack for ensuring they won’t date when next season’s fashion week rolls around. Which is handy, since the prices are a touch above your ordinary Reiss outlay. But for that extra spend, you get extra quality: the thigh-length shearling coat that will last a decade; the double-breasted camel coat you can throw over everything, from a chunky roll neck (and there’s a cashmere version in the collection that would do just fine) to an oversized hoody; the windowpane check suit you can wear with its waistcoat for winter, but which is crafted light enough to wear through until May without. It’s Reiss, but made ready for the front row. The Reiss Premium collection is available now at reiss.com, priced from £60.
