Penhaligon’s Gentlemen’s Grooming Range

LC:M Fragrance Makers Launches Grooming Range

Penhaligon’s has launched its first ever grooming range, using the scent it created as the official fragrance of London Collections: Men. Bayolea, which debuted as a candle ahead of the three-day menswear event in June and an aftershave shortly after, is now carried in 15 bathroom cabinet products across skincare, shaving and grooming. The English perfume house says it aimed to cover every aspect of the grooming routine. The largest category – shaving – includes a cream (£38), soap (£36), oil (£45), soothing gel (£35) and balm (£29), as well as an aftershave splash (£35). Skincare is attended to by a wash (£25), scrub (£24), mask (£35) and bath and shower gel (£25). Finally, grooming features deodorant (£14), hair pomade (£32), moustache wax (£7) and an eau de toilette in 50ml (£65) and 100ml (£85) measures. Bayolea, described as a zesty scent, uses top notes of lemongrass, mandarin and tangerine, with a heart of cardamom, black pepper, neroli and lavender, and a base of cedarwood, sandalwood, musk, moss, patchouli and amber. Penhaligon’s head of global marketing, Matthew Huband, said the launch comes in response to customer demands. “I’m thrilled that we’re releasing this range… and applying a spritz of Penhaligon’s elegance to a modern grooming range. The fragrance is wonderfully fresh and masculine and I can’t wait to see it on the shelf (as well as in my bathroom!)” Founded in 1870, the double Royal Warrant holder also sells candles and gifts in addition to standalone fragrance, bath & body and grooming products. The full Gentlemen’s Grooming Range is available to buy now in all Penhaligon’s boutiques and online. It has not yet been confirmed whether Penhaligon’s stockists such as Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Fortnum and Mason will also carry the line.
