Palladium Boots: Urban Exploration Campaign

Palladium Urban Exploration Campaign: Rotterdam

Heavy duty footwear label Palladium has launched the first European video from its Urban Exploration campaign.

The weekly string of clips, which kicked off in New York, features ten international taste-makers documenting little-known areas of their city.

LA and Toronto have also been featured, with each participant opting to wear a different boot style.

The explorers series has now moved on to Rotterdam in Northern Europe, with insight from underground jazz club director, Philip Powel.

A preview of the clip, shot by Dutch crew Opslaan Als, went live on the brand’s blog earlier in the week showing Powel exploring his hometown.

Palladium, which is up for Young Fashion Footwear Brand of the Year at the 2014 Drapers Footwear & Accessories Awards, was founded in 1920. It originally used canvas and rubber materials to manufacture tires for the aviation industry before creating the original Pampa boot in 1947.

The label has confirmed the UK as the next destination in the series, with the explorer’s name likely to follow the pattern of previous videos, being announced on Tuesday.

In the latest clip, Powel wears the Baggy Espresso/Putty model, priced at £60. The boots are available, along with other Palladium styles, online and at stockists including Topman, Schuh and Bourgeois Boheme in London.
