6. ‘Praying Hands’ Tattoo

Tattoo: On Markieff’s left arm there is a pair of praying hands tattooed. The praying hands are seen lifting the Basketball towards the heavens, surrounded with clods on all sides. There are words tattooed, ‘A Gift From God’ surrounding the praying hands.

Meaning: This tattoo is Markieff’s dedication to his professional sport. He and Marcus got identical tattoos to seek God’s continuous blessings upon them when they are on the field and of the field. The withered hands are the symbol of their hard work.

7. ‘Mother’s, and Grandmother’s name’ Tattoo

Tattoo: On his bicep, Markieff wears the tattoos of his Mother and Grandmother’s name. His right shoulder bears the name of his mother i.e. ‘Angel’ whereas the left one bears the name of his grandmother i.e Shirley.

Meaning: These names are Markieff’s continuous reminder to himself and to dedicate his love for both the ladies who played a keen role in bringing the twins up. In an interview, he said, Angel was responsible for instilling the qualities of honor, integrity, and loyalty in him and his brother, Marcus.

Tattoo: On Markieff’s left wrist lies the tattoo of his mother, Thomasine ‘Angel Morris’.As already said, Markieff dedicates all that he is today to his mother Thomasine whom he called as his Guardian angel, and thus the name, ‘Angel Morris’.

Tattoo: On Markieff’s right bicep we can see the tattoo of the Philadelphia skyline along with the area’s city code 215 inked under the buildings.

Meaning: Marcus and Markieff were born and brought up on Erie Avenue in North Philadelphia. Their house caught fire and they had to shift to their grandmother’s house, as Angel (their mother) was a single mother. This tattoo is their dedication to their childhood home city. The tattoo shows the buildings along with the area code inked.
