London's Narrowest Home Is on the Market For $1.3 Million

London’s narrowest home is back on the market. The Goldhawk Road House in Shepherd’s Bush is barely big enough to swing a cat around but has been listed for more than $1 million. The home is just six-foot wide and 24-foot long, which is shorter than half a tennis court!

The former hat store covers five floors and is being marketed as “a space that works in much the way a luxury yacht does.” So think small, minimalist areas with all the luxuries you desire.

The ground floor serves as the entrance and includes a surprisingly spacious reception area. You can then take the spiral staircase to the lower ground floor where you’ll find a kitchen and dining area with double glazed glass doors leading to an outside patio area, or ascend to the higher floors.

The first floor features two bedrooms, one with a rooftop terrace, the second floor has a shower room, bathroom, and dressing room, while the third floor is a final bedroom with a built-in bed.

Despite the size, the home has all the creature comforts you would expect from a modern property with an asking price of $1.3 million. It manages to capture the traditional feeling of the period home while implementing a contemporary design. Some of the key features include beautiful parquet flooring, a forest green Aga heating system, and an original deco bathtub and wallpaper.

This unique property was last sold in 2009 for $1.09 million to a lawyer who is now moving abroad. Having been on the market a number of times over the past six months, it will be interesting to see if the narrowest home in London finally gets a buyer.
