Jack Spade Benton Suits

American Brand To Launch High-End Tailoring Range

American menswear brand Jack Spade has confirmed plans to launch a debut range of suits as the business looks to round out its lifestyle arm. The new five-piece range comprises navy, chalk stripe, micro-houndstooth, glenn plaid and tropical wool jackets in a shortened, two-button cut alongside matching trousers. Details include a natural shoulder, raised stance, narrow lapel, breathable lining and large inner pocket. In addition to the suits, bosses are also readying a line of tailored woven shirts, priced at around £100. Jack Spade vice president Melissa Xides described tailoring was the “logical next step.” Meanwhile the firm’s design director, Todd Magill, said: “It’s the uniform of the American business man executed with a modern approach to fit and an artist’s eye for detail.” Founded in 1996, Jack Spade became known for its bags before beginning to sell clothing, accessories and shoes. The business currently operates 13 outlets across the US, Japan and UK as well as stockist deals with the likes of FarFetch and Yoox. The Benton suit collection will be available to buy from later in the month at the brand’s Brewer Street store as well as online, priced at £795.
