The Deschutes Brewery x Brooks “Run Hoppy” Shoes Hit the Ground
The Deschutes Brewery x Brooks “Run Hoppy” Collection brings a whole new meaning to the phrase “making a beer run.”
The ever-popular Brooks Ghost 14 shoe is coming to a head with beer-themed footwear that makes booking it to the finish line even more of a joy. The shoe is known for its cushiony support that works to make the shoe light and strong.
Working with the Deschutes Brewery, Brooks has released its “Run Hoppy” line. Usually, Brooks’ slogan is “Run Happy,” so the clever play on words clues in shoe lovers as to what to expect with this entertaining and fresh look.
The fun-and-games approach hardly detracts from the performance factor, however. Seeing as how both collaborators hail from the Pacific Northwest, the playful-yet-practical product seems appropriate for runners and beer lovers the world over.

On the flip side, Deschutes is also brewing something to commemorate the special occasion. Many avid runners treat themselves to an ice-cold beer after a long jaunt, which is what inspired this brew.
The IPA will soon be found in their pubs in Bend or Portland, Oregon under the name “Run Hoppy Golden.”
The taste is said to feature a carb-focus with hints of honey and crackers. Unlike many craft beers, this brew has a lower alcohol percentage, perfect for athletes. It will be available as of August 9th.
The look of the footwear is what’s gaining major attention. A bubbly print of beers and brews against a black backdrop takes onlookers by surprise, filling them with whimsy. To subdue the print, an amber embellishment sports the Brooks’ branded emblem.
Beyond the shoes, beer-themed, sweat-wicking apparel also finds itself on the menu. A notable example includes a clever t-shirt that depicts a foamy beer shaping itself into the Brooks logo.
