Burberry Prorsum SS15 – London Collections: Men
Burberry Prorsum Spring/Summer 2015
British heritage brand Burberry presented its Prorsum menswear offering this week, showcasing a colourful collection ahead of spring/summer 2015.
Taking its signature approach in a more urban direction, the label unveiled graphic t-shirts, casual tailoring and oversized scarves, with neon accents on rain hats and athletic trainers, as part of London Collections: Men.
Key pieces from the show, which took place on the final day of the fashion event, included the new Burberry Satchel, in saturated shades and carrying typographic prints.
The brand’s staple trench coat also returned in nubuck, denim and linen textures.
According to a statement, the collection was inspired by British travel writer and novelist, Bruce Chatwin.
Illustrations which “take their creative lead from vintage English book covers” featured heavily, forming prints on jackets, bags and shoes. Each custom motif was designed in-house by Burberry, before being transferred on to garments.
Models walked down a similar hand-painted runway to live music from British musician Benjamin Clementine as part of the spectacle.
The show was filled with fashion and entertainment stars, boasting a front row made up of Tom Felton, David Gandy, Tinie Tempah, Greg James and Jourdan Dunn.
Select pieces from the collection have been made available to buy online at Burberry.com, where they will remain until 24th June.
Carrying on from AW14, both ready-to-wear items and accessories can be personalised with a custom name plate. Prices for bags start at around £1,295.
