The Macallan has collaborated with gourmet chocolatier Compartés Chocolate to bring you an exclusive whisky and chocolate pairing kit.

100% of proceeds from The Macallan Harmony Collection: Rich Cacao x Compartés Chocolate Pairing Kit will be donated to reduce hunger and food waste in America. In partnership with Food Rescue US, The Macallan is seeking to provide 3,600 meals to those in need and keep 4,320 pounds of excess food out of landfills.

The limited-edition tasting set – which is available for pre-order at Reserve Bar at the price of $249 – is designed to help you create the perfect whisky and chocolate tasting experience at home. 

It includes a bottle of The Macallan Harmony Collection: Rich Cacao, a selection of 10 custom-made chocolate truffles from Compartés Chocolate, two Glencairn glasses, and a pairing guide presented in a gift box made using sustainable and recyclable materials.

The Macallan Harmony Collection: Rich Cacao represents the first release in a new limited edition series. Inspired by chocolate, it was created in collaboration with a renowned Michelin Star Pastry Chef and a Master Chocolatier.

“As I immersed myself in this world, I uncovered a great synergy between the whisky-making process and that of chocolate. Both take time and exceptional attention to detail, with even the slightest changes to the process encouraging different aromas and flavors to emerge,” said Macallan Whisky Maker Polly Logan at the launch of the new bottle.

“Working in collaboration with Jordi Roca, acknowledged as one of the best and most creative pastry chefs in the world, and with exceptional chocolatier Damian Allsop, I went on a journey of discovery, learning of the craftsmanship, passion, and creativity which goes into making chocolate.”

Accompanying the whisky in the pairing kit, are an assortment of handmade truffles. Each of the dark chocolate-based flavors – vanilla, cinnamon, honey, and dates – was specially created by Compartés Chocolate to accentuate and complement the different notes found in The Macallan Harmony Collection: Rich Cacao.
