Bitmoji Creator Drops $9.4 Million on Hollywood Hills ‘Hang Glider’ House

One of LA’s most spectacular homes has sold for a cool $9.4 million. The famed “Hang Glider” house, named because of its resemblance to a hang glider, is perched atop the Hollywood Hills. Offering incredible views of the LA skyline, this stunning home sold for just under $2 million more than its asking price.

Originally listed for $7.9 million, a bidding war broke out, with the final $9.4 million offer coming from tech entrepreneur Jacob “BA” Blackstock. While not a household name like Musk or Bezos, Blackstock is one of the founders of Bitmoji. Responsible for creating Bitstrips (those comic strip emojis), the company was purchased by Snapchat in 2016 for a whopping $100 million, with Blackstock serving as its CEO.
